Turn your devices into a stake in the network
The node beta is live. Run a desktop or server node today, complete verified work, and earn points now. Points clear against banked revenue at season settle, and the ORB conversion gate stays closed until the network deliberately opens it. No promised amounts, no promised dates.
Desktop and server nodes are running now
You can set up a node today from app.hylon.ai. In this beta, nodes perform verification and benchmark tasks: deterministic work the network can independently re-check, so every point you earn is backed by a verifiable contribution. Benchmark runs also calibrate your device tier honestly, from measurement rather than self-reporting.
What you earn now is points, recorded live in a contribution ledger tied to your verified work. Every award is stamped with the earning lane it was made under and the season that was open at the time. Points convert to ORB only through a single conversion gate the network's operators control, and that gate is currently closed. We do not promise token amounts, conversion rates, or dates, and AI serving from community nodes is not live yet.
Three steps to a running node
Use your existing account, or create one. The node dashboard lives alongside the rest of the app.
Open the Nodes section and create a new node. You get a one-time setup code that pairs the machine to your account.
On the machine you want to contribute, run the node with your code, for example: orbmesh node --setup-code <CODE>. The node registers itself and starts leasing verified work.
Points clear against revenue that exists
Earning runs in seasons. While a season is open, every point you earn is recorded live and stamped with that season. Each season carries a budget banked from real service revenue, set aside before rewards clear, never printed after the fact.
At season settle, the season's points clear against that banked budget. If the points would outrun the budget, everyone clears pro-rata: the effective per-point value can never exceed what the season actually banked. Settlement records what your points cleared, truthfully and permanently.
Clearing is not conversion. ORB conversion runs through a single, admin-controlled gate that is currently closed, and each conversion is recorded exactly once, so no point can ever convert twice. We do not promise conversion amounts, rates, or dates: points clear against revenue that exists, not against a forecast.
Trust is earned per device, not claimed
Every award is made under a lane derived at award time from what the network has verified about the device and its owner. Lanes bound how many points a device can earn per day. They never affect AI access.
A node that has not presented attestation evidence the network could verify. It still earns for verified work, under a tight daily point budget.
The node presented platform attestation evidence and the network verified it server side, not self-reported. A standard daily point budget.
An attested node whose owner has held an active paid subscription long enough to establish tenure. The highest lane, uncapped by default.
Daily budgets are network-tunable operating parameters, not promises. They bound points earning only: no lane ever gates AI access or any existing feature.
Every device earns for what it can actually do
Phones do not train models, and we do not pretend otherwise. Each tier is matched to work it can genuinely perform, and we say plainly what is live versus planned.
Windows, macOS, and Linux machines run verification and benchmark tasks today. The node is set up in minutes from app.hylon.ai.
Machines with 8+ CPU cores or a GPU are placed in the server tier automatically, calibrated by verified benchmark runs.
Mobile earning is not live yet. When it ships, phones will contribute verification work in short sessions. We do not claim phone mining, because phones do not mine.
Inference serving, personalization, distributed training, and eventually neuromorphic hardware. These are the roadmap, and we label them that way until they ship.
Rewards that do not death spiral
A decade of network economics taught a hard lesson: paying supply before demand exists collapses the token. That is why the beta awards points for verified work first, why seasons clear only against revenue the network has actually banked, and why the conversion gate stays closed until the network deliberately opens it. Hylon rewards verified contribution, funds buybacks from genuine service revenue, and lets scarcity track demonstrated demand rather than headcount.
What is live today is verification and benchmark work on desktop and server nodes, in beta, earning points under attested and subscriber earning lanes, with Season Clearing recording how points clear against banked revenue. Mobile earning is not live yet, and neither is AI serving from community nodes. The points-to-ORB conversion gate is admin controlled and currently closed. We do not promise token amounts, conversion rates, or dates. Wallets are non custodial, and Hylon is compute and data for AI, described plainly, never marketed as mining.
